Daughter of the late Daniel and Rosa Washington and wife of the late Frank W. Nelson, Sr.Ophelia Nelson was also preceded in death by her son, Frank W. Nelson, Jr and one granchild, LaTanya K. Winward-Brown.

Survived by her 8 children, Barbara Richards, Tyrone(Carolyn) Nelson, Enoldrus((Shelia) Nelson, Delores(MAurice) MacDougale, Mahinde Ogungbuyi, Garrett(Renee R.) Nelson, Karen Nelson and Corbin (Rochele) Nelson; one sister, Leona Washington; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Homegoing service for Ophelia Nelson will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 9:30 am at the Mother African Union Church, 812 North Franklin St. Wilm.,DE. Viewing from 8-9:25 am. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice of Wilmington
