Garfield G. Stallings, Jr.

was born and raised in Wilmington, DE on July 26, 1935 to Garfield, Sr. and Igolia Stallings. He departed this life on April 11, 2013.

Garfield was a 1953 graduate of Howard High School. He served as a police officer and later a detective for 23 years. Once he retired, Garfield began working at Wilmington Trust Security Department.

Garfield leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 52 years, Della Stallings; 4 daughters, 1 son, 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, 1 brother and a host of other nieces, nephews , cousins and friends.

The family of Garfield Stallings wishes to thank Regency Healthcare, St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington Hospital, and Seasons Hospice Pallative Care for providing quality care in a professional and respectful manner.

Service will be held Thursday April 18, 2013 at 7PM, Mother U.A.M.E. Church, 701 E. 5th Street, Wilmington, DE. Viewing 5-7 PM.
