John William Russell, 86, son of the late James Thomas Russell and Ethel Bell Russell was born September 15, 1929 in Wilmington, Delaware. John departed this life, peacefully on June 30, 2016 at home (Lyndhurst,NJ) surrounded by his loved ones. Husband /Dad/Grandpop/Great-Grandpop was love and loved. John was patient and study. He treasured life, music, dancing, philosophy but most of all his family.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Bell Funeral Home and will be held, Friday July,8,2016 at Mother Union AME Church, 701 East 5th Street. Wilmington, DE Viewing 9-11 am, with the Homegoing Celebration immediately following.
