David Pearson was born May 29, 1961 in New York City (Queens) to Maude Williams and Gyula Nagy. He transitioned peacefully in his sleep June 1, 2017, following a three year battle with health issues. David attended Edgewood Regional High School (1979). He married Tekoa Pearson, the love of his life and best friend. Together, they had two children who he loved dearly, Devin and Brenton Pearson. Over the course of 36 years, David’s children remember their father for his belief in hard working as a commercial truck driver. He instilled in them the values of strength, resilience, and independence. In addition to his career, he also loved music (Earth, Wind, and Fire, Ronnie Laws, etc.). David was a straight shooter. He called it, like he seen it. He loved gardening, fishing, old television programs and always having a good time. He also loved his wife’s cooking. David is survived by his devoted wife Tekoa, children, Brenton (Kelli), Devin (Molchinda), 7 grand children Devin Jr., Devonte, Denita, Deanna, Yohanna, Avery, and Zoe Pearson. 2 sisters Anna Williams, Ava Ruth, Nephew Kristian Ruth, mother in law Florence Thompson, as well as a host of cousins, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly. The family would like to thank everyone who has said a prayer, shared a kind word or lent a helping hand.
