Mrs. Lillie Mae Eason Parker, Granny to most of the family, was the daughter of Nathan, Sr. and Lindy (Staten) Eason. She was born on February 23, 1931, in Tarboro, North Carolina. She departed this life on August 21, 2017, at the age of 86 years.
Lillie received her education in Tarboro, North Carolina.
Lillie was united in holy matrimony to Lest T. Parker, Sr., on January 4, 1947. From this marriage were born eleven children.
For twenty-eight years Lillie was employed by the Daybreak Convalescent Home (now the Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center).
Lillie was predeceased by her husband, Lest T. Parker, Sr.; four of her sons: Carl, Leonard, Tyrone, and Duncan; nine siblings: Annie Lee Cox, Dorothy Eason, Frank Eason, George Eason, Nathen Eason, Jr., Wallace Eason, Roscoe Lyons, Sarah Matthews, Ida Ruth Williams; and; and a best friend, Anna Cassidy.
Lillie is survived by three sons: Lest T., Jr. (Adrienne), Bernard, and Bryan (Wanda); four daughters: Sylvia (John) Holden, Tana (Robert) Parker, Theresa Gibbs, and Marlo Parker; two sisters: Shirley Eason and Ernestine Johnson; thirty-three Grandchildren; seventy-one Great Grandchildren; fifteen Great Great Grandchildren, a best friend Cleo Phillips, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Service will be held on Monday August 28, 2017 at 11 am. Viewing 10-11 am, Mt. Salem in Rockfork Park United Methodist Church, 2629 W. 19th St. Wilm., DE, interment, Lombardy Cemetery.
