Beverly Ann Collins "Ann"

March 1, 1936 — July 5, 2021

Beverly Ann Collins better known as Ann was born March 1, 1936 to the late Thomas James MacIntosh, Sr.
and the late Erma D. MacIntosh-Cuff.
Surrounded by her family in the wee hours of July 5th, 2021, Ann slipped away and transitioned to her new home in glory.
Ann was educated in the Wilmington Public School System.
Ann's work ethic started at an early age, with a private  family and she enjoyed vacationing and working for
them in Atlantic City- The Carpenter Family.
Ann worked for various families in the Wilmington Area, Mrs. Mae, Mrs. Tingles and others.
Ann loved her job so much that she was led to Christina Care at Wilmington Campus where she worked until she retired.
Ann kept a clean house and would assist anyone who needed help, even church members.
Ann was raised in a large family and along with both parents they were all active in the historical Mother AUMP Church.
During Ann's adult years she followed foot steps of her parents and joined the Usher Board, Senior Choir and the Elder's Ministry.
Ann was married to Willard Tomas and from that union Shelia and Shelly were born.
Ann loved her family and church family dearly.  Ann was a member of the Elks, Raindeers and Odd Fellows.
Ann was a classic and she was known for the way she dressed and her good looks.
Later in life Ann met Lonnie C. Collins and from this union three sons were born; Tony(Umar), Terry and Stephan Collins.
Ann enjoyed the family functions and get togethers but was sadden by the lost of her siblings.
Ann's favorite songs were "How Great  Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace" Ann had a beautiful voice and always wanted to sing like her Mother.
Ann loved watching movies. Her favorite movies were "The Wire" and all Madea plays and movies.
Ann's health begin to fail so she went to Brandywine Nursing Home where her niece worked. Norma Miller who looked after her there.
Ann' Caregivers were Valeire M. Collins, Linda Rhodes, Terri Waltston. Her Spiritual Advisors were Rev. Lawrence M. Livington, Rev. Marlene Stewart and her sister Rev. Gloria Ross.
Ann's Siblings that preceded her in death are; Leila Baynard, Constance Murray, Barbara Coleman, Tommy, Jimmy and Lonnie MacIntosh. all of the City of Wilmington.
While we were completing arrangements Ann's only sister passed , Rev. Gloria E. Ross. Ann's husband, Lonnie C. Collins and her two grandsons, Tyron Walston and Andre Thomas and 1 son-in-law Kevin Holmes also preceded her in death.
Ann leaves to cherish her memories, 2 daughters, Shelia Register and Shelly Holmes; 3 sons, Tony(Umar) Collins, Terry (Valerie) and Stephan ( Shevawn); 15 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, a devoted grandchild, Terri Walston, devoted nieces, Linda Rhodes and Norma Miller, 1 brother-in-law, Nelson Ross, a host of nieces, nephews, 2 cousins from Philadelphia and Territa Gorden
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday July 23, 3021 at 7 pm. Viewing, 5-6:45 Pm from Mother African Union Church, 812 N. Franklin Street, Wilmington, DE 19806. Interment,  Saturday at Silverbrook Cemetery. Masks are required for viewing and service.
