Blayton Antonio Joseph Palmer, 26, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away on October 17, 2018.
Blayton was born in Wilmington, Delaware on November 26, 1992 to Tony Palmer and Marion Goodridge-Palmer.
He attended school in the Red Clay School District and graduated from William Penn High School in New Castle, Delaware.
Blayton enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father and great uncles on the Eastern Shore of Maryland when he was younger, and he also enjoyed riding dirt bikes and four wheels too. As he grew older he enjoyed family time with his immediate family and being at family gatherings.
Blayton is survived by parents, Tony Palmer, Sr. and Marion Goodridge-Palmer, brothers; Tony Palmer, Jr. of Royal Oak, MD., Jamar Wilmer of Atlanta, GA, Zechariah Palmer, Samuel Palmer, Robert Palmer all of New Castle, DE, sisters; Lonja Poindexter, of Wilmington, DE, Jonelle Wilmer of Easton, MD, and Catherine Palmer of New Castle, DE. Blayton has one son Isaiah Palmer of Wilmington, DE, niece, Tyra Wilmer of Easton, MD and nephews; Lenford Truitt, Jaylyn Truitt, and Mekhi McNeil all of Wilmington, DE and Kaeden Wilmer and Mason Wilmer all of Easton, MD> He also leaves behind his aunts; Kathy Thomas(Leonard) of Wilmington, DE and Shirley Palmer of Cambridge, MD. His uncles; Harold Goodridge of Washington, DC, Elwood Palmer and George Palmer, both of St. Michaels, MD, and James Palmer(Tracy) of Dover, DE. He leaves behind a host of great uncles, cousins and more family and friends. Blayton was very close with all his cousins, but he had a special bond and relationship with Isaiah Palmer of Smyrna, DE
Blayton also had an extended family on his father’s side: Jamea M. Lewis, her daughter, Jaliya Lewis and sons, Ikere LeCompte, Ismail LeCompte, Yusef LeCompte, Isaiah “Zay” LeCompte and Israel LeCompte all of Wilmington, Delaware.
Blayton was preceded in death by all his grandparents: Mary Ethel Palmer, James Goldsborough, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Goodridge and an uncle, Bertram Goodridge
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday October 27, 2018 at Mother UAME Church, 701 E. 5th Street Wilm.,DE 19801. Viewing 9-10:45 A.M., Service 11:00 A.M.
