Delores Pritchett

September 26, 1963 — June 13, 2021

Delores  Pritchett, daughter of the late Loretha Reddick Brown and Ulysses Brown, Sr., was born on September 26, 1963. She departed this life on June 13, 2021 at Wilmington Hospital surrounded by family.

Delores, affectionately know as “Cherry” or “Rosie” loved spending time with her family. Her favorite thing to do was watch her shows such as “Naked and Afraid”  and “Law and Order SVU”,  and you better not touch her television! She enjoyed her shows along with her cold Busch Ice and a shot of Rumchata.

Delores was truly a pillar to her family and had a hand in raising the majority of her nieces and nephews. She loved Tupac;  as well as rocking bandanas with her t-shirt and jeans. She was very spontaneous and loved smiling, laughing, and dancing, but best believe she ALWAYS kept it real. She was a straight shooter and always told you exactly how she felt. She enjoyed her home and having company, but she would definitely let you know when it was time for you to go. She was a free spirit and enjoyed her life to the fullest through good and bad times. Her current favorite songs was “My Nigga” by Y.G and “I Roll Up” by Wiz Khalifa.

Delores was preceded in death by her mother Loretha Reddick Brown, her father Ulysses Brown Sr., her sister Priscilla Brown, her brothers Ulysses Brown Jr. and Jesse Brown. She leaves to cherish her memory her sisters Linda Felton (Darnell ), Sylvia Wonnum (Andre), Maryland Brown (Jerome); and a brother Frankie Brown. Delores also leaves behind her husband Dennis Pritchett; as well as her lifetime companion Jerald Williams; her son Nikeem  Brown, Aunts; Ruby Davis, Betty Armstead, Tommie Lewis(Bubba) and Uncle, Willie Field(Carolyn) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday June 22, 2021 11am-1pm only, Mother UAME Church, 701 E. 5th Street Wilmington, DE 19801. Interment-Silverbrook Cemetery. Masks are required.
