In Loving Memory of Dorothy Lee Foster Sunrise May 18, 1947 – Sunset August 3, 2026 Age 79
Dorothy Lee Marshall Foster was born on May 18, 1947, in Stockton, MD to the late Elroy Mason and Winnie Mason. She was educated in Maryland and graduated from Worcester High School in 1965.
Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was married to James Foster Sr., and together they built a beautiful family. Before meeting her husband, Dorothy was blessed with two children, Michael Marshall Sr and Amanda Marshall. From her union with James Foster Sr., she welcomed four more children: James Foster Jr., Anthony Foster Sr., Arcola Foster, and Kevin Foster, giving her six wonderful children in all \
.Dorothy loved spending time with her family and took great joy in bringing everyone together. She enjoyed organizing family events and going on road trips with her sisters. Those road trips later became special adventures with her grandchildren. Dorothy was a woman with a strong mind and a personality all her own. If you knew Dorothy, you knew she had a mind of her own and was never afraid to speak it. Yet, whenever her family needed her, she was always there
Dorothy was a dedicated and hardworking woman. She worked for the University of Delaware for many years before seeking something more fulfilling. She then began working at DaVita Dialysis Center, where she remained until her retirement.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband James Foster Sr, her father Elroy Mason Sr, her sisters Elsie Watson and Joann Dale, her children James Foster Jr, Anthony Foster Sr, Arcola Foster, son in law Dave Townsend and her great granddaughter Ke’Asia Morris.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved mother, Winnie Mason; her last living aunt Lillie Collick; her children, Michael Marshall Sr ( Dana), Amanda Marshall and Kevin Foster; her daughter in love Alisha Holden; her siblings, Elroy Mason ( Nikki) Craig Mason ( Anita) , Peggy O’Neal, Janice Briddell, and Cindy Parker ( Greg) ; along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and many other loved ones.
.Dorothy’s love, strength, laughter, and unforgettable personality will remain in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her. Though she is no longer with us, the memories she created and the love she gave her family will live on for generations to come.
