Eureka Sudler was born on September 12, 1972 to the late Cynthia Sudler and Brother Bilal Hawkins.
She departed this life on March 2, 2020.
Dink, as she was lovingly referred to by her Father’s side of the family, received her early education in the Wilmington Public Schools. She graduated from Howard High School in 1990 with her specialty
in cosmetology. Her passion for doing hair led her to becoming the go-to stylist for the neighborhood, family and friends.
Deedea, as she was affectionately called by her Mother’s side of the family, was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, granddaughter, aunt and friend to all. She was a selfless person who was willing to care for others. She loved to cook, eat crabs, play spades and spend quality time with her family. She was the first of the Hawkins clan of grandchildren and she embodied the term of “Daddy’s girl” as she could do no wrong in the eyes of her Dad.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Francis Sudler, paternal grandfather John “Jo Buck” Hawkins and her Mother, Cynthia Sudler. She leaves to cherish her memories, her Dad, Brother Bilal Hawkins, 1 son, Antoine Sudler; one granddaughter, Ari’ah Sudler, three brothers; Khalil Hawkins, Salah Hawkins and Amir Hawkins, The Hawkins Family Matriarch , Grandmother Marian Hawkins and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday March 11, 2020 at Mother UAME Church, 701 E. 5th St. Wilm., DE 19801. Viewing 9-11 am, Service, 11 am. Interment, Silverbrook Cemetery
