Philadelphia

Gloria Marie Williams,91, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Born on October 23, 1934, in Sharon Hill, PA, she lived a life marked by generosity, resilience, and a deep devotion to her family.

Throughout her life, Gloria-affectionately known as "Glo", "Old Bag", "Grannie", or simply "Mommy"- was known for her deep love of the Lord, her kindness, her humor, her creativity, and her beautiful smile. She touched countless lives with her compassion and her ability to make everyone feel welcomed, seen, and cared for.

Friends and family will remember Gloria for her unwavering wish that her family remain united, loving, and close. She gave that same love freely to anyone in need or simply fortunate enough to be in her presence-a presence that brought warmth, kindness, and a gentle steadfastness to everyone around her.

Gloria is survived by her children: Calvin, Beverly Williams, and Tammy Carter (and her husband Harold), who will carry forward her memory with love and gratitude. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Nathaniel Green, and by her children Raymond, Michael and Stephanie Williams.

She is also survived by her sister-in-law Viola Switzer; her daughter-in-law Dora Williams, (wife of Michael); her cousins, Loretta and Charles Ward; and all her loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her nieces and nephews each of whom held a special place in her heart. And the numerous extended families at B'nai B'rith House and Cliveden Nursing Home, too held a special place in her heart and will continue with her family.

Gloria's presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who knew her. Her legacy-          rooted in faith, family and unconditional love-will live on in every life she touched.  "Well done good and faithful servant!"
