Keith Irving Wilson was the sixth of seven children. He was born on June 11, 1957, in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Isaac Wilson, Sr. and Vera M. Britt Wilson. He was called home to the Lord on October 25, 2021, after an extensive illness.
In 1957 his family moved to Wilmington, Delaware where Keith later received his education in the Wilmington Public Schools. Upon graduation, he continued his education at Delaware State College (University).
Keith was affectionately called “Mr. Tibbs,” and/or “Tibbs” by many of his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor often entertaining everyone to great peals of laughter. He was kind, generous, often doting generously on his nieces and nephews. They loved him and sought for his attention.
On September 21, 2021, Keith rededicated his life to Jesus Christ. Keith often testified to his family, his prayer: “JESUS, fix it – fix it JESUS!”
Keith was preceded in death by his brothers and sister: Isaac Wilson, Jr. (Erevu), Edwin Wilson, and Emma Jean W. Terrell. He leaves to cherish his memories his brother and sisters: Rev. Dr. Joan W. Williamson (Donald), Ricky L. Wilson, and Jacqueline Morgan. One Aunt, Rev. Dr. Ruth E. Britt and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday November 2, 2021 at 11 am. Mother UAME Church, 701 E. 5th Street Wilm., DE 19801. There will be no viewing. Interment is private. All attendees must wear mask.
