Raymond H. Brister

August 20, 1952 — June 21, 2020

Raymond H. Brister, son of the late Elder May Brister and Raymond Herbert Miller, was born on August 20, 1952 in Wilmington, DE.  He departed this life on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Christiana Hospital.
Raymond was affectionately called "Skeet" by his family and friends.  He received his early education in Public Schools in Wilmington, Delaware.  Skeet attended Wilmington High School.  After high school, "Skeet" worked various jobs at a moving company, Alide Kid Leather Company, Hercules Building, YMCA, Salvation Army and Downtown Visions before retiring.
Skeet was an Eagles fan and he was a die hard wrestling fan! You could catch him watching wrestling every Monday and Friday night.  He also enjoyed harmonizing his favorite songs with his friends.  Sometimes you would catch him walking around the house just singing to himself.  He loved going fishing with his son and grandkids as well as playing pool.  What he loved most of all was spending time with his family!
He is preceded in death by his mother; Elder Aldera Brister, his brothers; Stanley (Pappy) Brister, Edward (Speedy) Brister, his sister; Joanne Brister and his nephew Gilbert (Pep) Brister.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved children Raymond Carroll and his wife, Lisa; his daughter Regina Carroll; six grandchildren, Idris Thomas, Alexus Ross, Branden Bruce, Brandee Bruce, Radajia Carroll and Ma'shy Downing; his siblings Annette Brister and George Russell; a niece; Rosalind Dupree along with a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
