Reginal “Reggie” Samuels passed away peacefully on July 24th, 2018. He was a member of the International Longshoreman’s Association where he worked on the banana and automobile ships at the Port of Wilmington. Reggie cherished the time he spent with his family and loved sharing stories about his children and grandchildren.
Reggie is survived by his wife, Barbara Samuels; sons: Reginal Samuels, Jr. (Khristeen), Jonathan Samuels, and Damon McCain (Vicky); grandchildren: Janee’ Samuels, Jonathan Samuels, Johosephat Samuels, Reginal Samuels III, Asmarah Samuels, Raaji Samuels, Shane Brown, Kris’shonn Brown, Nia McCain, and Sienna McCain; brothers: Robert Samuels and George Samuels; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Leona Samuels; brother: Jerome Samuels; and sister: Deborah Samuels.

A visitation will be held Monday, August 6, 2018 from 6pm – 8pm at Mother Union AME Church, 701 E 5th St, Wilmington, DE 19801 and again Tuesday, August 7, 2018, from 10am – 11am at International Longshoremen's Union Hall, 200 S Claymont St, Wilmington, DE 19801 followed by a celebration of Reggie’s life at 11am. The burial will be held privately.
