Sherrita A Green

Sherrita  A. Green was born in Newark, Delaware on May 5, 1989. She was the eldest daughter of Cleophus L. Green and the late Vernetta R. Green.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 She was educated in the New Castle County public school system, having earned her General Education Diploma through a program at Delaware Technical Community College in 2005.                                                                                                                                                                                In her teenage years, Sherrita was a fun-loving free spirit who enjoyed spending time with her friends-many of whom became a part of her lifelong community. She was an ardent music lover and never hesitated to treat family and friends to a hilarious-often off key-rendition of her favorite pop and R&B songs. She developed a love of baking in early life and always dreamed of having her own bakery and cafe. When Sherrita was a child her mother would often catch her covered in frosting and baking cupcakes in t5he middle of the night.                                                                                  Always a people person Sherrita worked in the customer service industry for many years and loved chatting with both co-workers and clients equally. She worked in a number of call centers throughout her career, receiving numerous awards for professionalism, her strong work ethic and dedication.                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Sherrita demonstrated that same dedication i8n her role as mother. Jayden (Age 14), Jordan (age12) and Julian (age10)-her "J Boys" were the absolute loves of her life and she worked tirelessly for them.                                                                                                                                             Sherrita was preceded in death by her beloved mother Vernetta R. Green, maternal grandmother Mamie P. McCarthy, maternal grandfather Hyland McCarthy and paternal grandfather James A. Green. She is survived by her young sons, her father Cleophus L. Green, her brother Deion L. Green, her aunts Iris M. McCarthy, Regina Green and Nicole Green, her paternal grandmother, Iris Green, her cousin Tasha Green and a host of family and friends.
